Vivian Xu

Vivian Xu is a law student in our Taxation and Tax Dispute Resolution groups. She also assists our team with its frequent seminars and monthly newsletters geared towards accountants and lawyers. Vivian is proficient in Mandarin Chinese.

Vivian is a 2018 J.D. candidate at Osgoode Hall Law School, York University where she is taking courses to satisfy the requirements of the tax law curricular stream. Vivian previously volunteered as a criminal law caseworker and an intake volunteer at the Community Legal Aid Services Programme at Osgoode Hall Law School. She also made research contributions for an upcoming legal textbook, Sentencing (9th Edition).

Vivian holds a Bachelor of Arts Honors Specialization degree in Economics from Western University where she graduated with distinction. At Western University, Vivian co-authored an undergraduate thesis paper analyzing the effect of the British Columbia carbon tax on electric vehicle demand. She also received various scholarships and awards for her academic achievements in economics, including the Faculty of Social Science Alumni Award, and the Harold Crabtree Foundation Award in the Economics of Industrial Organization.
