Bernd Buschke is a law student in our Taxation and Tax Dispute Resolution groups. He also assists our team with its frequent seminars and monthly newsletters geared towards accountants and lawyers.
Bernd recently received his J.D. from The University of Toronto, Faculty of Law. He previously volunteered as a caseworker and an intake volunteer at the Downtown Legal Services clinic at the University of Toronto, within the University Affairs and Refugee Law departments. Bernd also has previous experience working on corporate law matters in both Canada and Luxembourg. He is also proficient in German and has experience with French and Spanish as well.
Bernd holds an Honours Bachelor of Social Science degree in Political Science and Philosophy (Co-Op), magna cum laude, from the University of Ottawa. During his Co-Op terms, Bernd spent time working at Citizenship and Immigration Canada, Health Canada, the Canadian Coast Guard, and as a communications assistant at the Senate of Canada.
Bernd ran the University of Toronto Board Games Club during his time at law school. He enjoys playing team sports, particularly basketball and football. In his spare time, Bernd enjoys spending time with family, and cheering on the Toronto Raptors.
